Thanks to YOU, I earned my third bar to my Masters Award
I earned my Master of Photographic Arts in 2010. In most professions, members are required to maintain their knowledge and skills through continuing education. This education is recognized by the Professional Photographers of Canada with gold bars that are added to the ribbon which holds the Master's Medallion. Entering and having images accepted into the National Salon is required. As such, I would like to thank each and every family member, friend and client who has sat before my lens and allowed me to continue to grow as an artist.
I received the letter verifying that I had earned my third bar early this year. They are usually presented at our National Convention which was in Quebec and I was unable to attend. I, therefore, requested that I receive it at our Provincial Convention which took place on October 25, 26 & 27, 2019.
I was one of four judges for the National Accreditation submissions to the Professional Photographers of Canada which took place on Friday. Followed by amazing speakers. I attended RICHARD TERBOURG who came all the way from Holland to share his style of portraiture and business. I also learned more about Instagram from SEAN TOKARIUK NEXTGEN Business Solutions.
Saturday evening was an opportunity to connect with fellow photographers from across the province, accept my third bar and congratulate those who earned awards at the Alberta Salon, a curated photography exhibit.
The field of photography is ever-changing. I love learning and growing and challenging myself in all areas of photography and business. Thank you for following my journey.
